Is your industrial cooling tower up to par?
If you haven’t checked the cost of your cooling tower lately, now might be a good time to do so. With monthly energy usage, repairs, and the upfront cost of installation, the price adds up quickly. If it’s about time to replace your existing unit, consider replacing it with an industrial cooling tower from Tower Tech. Our proprietary design can handle all of your cooling needs at a lower price, and the only thing that is cut is your costs.
How are your cooling units different?
Most cooling tower manufacturers follow the same basic design. We realized, however, that this design has some fundamental flaws that are impossible to fix. There is excessive drift rate and energy usage, along with many components that only last for a few years. Legionella and bacteria growth are at unacceptable levels. They also don’t fit well with the aesthetics of the building, standing out from everything else and not in a good way.
How do your industrial coolers fix these problems?
We fixed these problems by throwing out the traditional design and starting from scratch. Many of the issues were solved by our design and many improvements were made, including:
- Lighter and smaller. A conventional closed circuit cooling tower weighs in at around 18,000 pounds for a 250-ton capacity and 46,000 pounds for the 750-capacity models. We cut that down to 15,500 pounds and 30,500 pounds respectively.
- Lower drift rate. For years, the industry standard for drift rate was .002%, and that was thought to be as low as it could get. With our design, we slashed that down to a mere .0004%.
- An enclosed basin. Bacteria thrive in warm, wet conditions, making cooling towers an ideal home for them. However, they also need sunlight. Because our water basins are enclosed with no direct sunlight, bacteria are missing a crucial nutrient and their growth is greatly inhibited.
- Better aesthetics. Our design has a reduced plume without open louvers, and the rotating equipment is below the unit, all for better visual aesthetics. Water noise is also nearly zero, making for quieter operation.
Can these smaller towers still handle heavy industrial processes?
Not only are our cooling units smaller and more energy-efficient, but they’re just as powerful as the traditional design. We were able to accomplish this with a combination of our new design and using the best materials available for our tower manufacturing. Some of these materials include a structure constructed of fiberglass and stainless steel. No galvanized metal or wood components are used, eliminating the potential for dangerous chemicals to leak into the environment.
We make sure your industrial cooling tower is built to last
Using better materials means that your cooling tower has a longer life expectancy. The components are graded to last over a decade, with the tower structure having a life expectancy of over three decades. We’re confident in our design and craftsmanship. That’s why we include a 15-year limited warranty on all of our industrial cooling towers. Find out why we’re the industry leaders and give us a call today for a consultation or to learn more.
